Christmas In Edinburgh

Tuesday, December 8, 2015

A couple of weekends ago, I took a trip to Edinburgh with my mum to enjoy the Christmas festivities. Edinburgh is such a beautiful city and I honestly didn't want to come home. Both me and my mum forgot about everything we've been stressing about and just enjoyed spending time together, looking around the shops, around the markets and just taking in the lovely sights. I do wish we could of spent longer in Edinburgh because we could of done so much more things, but we'll definitley be returning next year! Obviously I had to take pictures everywhere we went, I didn't take a lot as my camera has playing up and tbh I just wanted to enjoy being away from normal day to day life. Here are a few of the pictures I took.

We booked a table at Frankie and Benny's and I couldn't wait to have some lovely food. After that we went for a walk and took a trip the Christmas markets, which was literally 15 minutes away from our hotel. The Edinburgh Christmas markets are so pretty and I could of spent a fortune! (It was probably a good idea, I hadn't saved up before I came)

I love Edinburgh as I've been before with family and while I was there I just felt so happy and I forgot about all the trouble at home and just focused on having a good time. I can't wait to return next year and spend a little longer there. Although next time I will bring sensible shoes with me!

Have you been to Edinburgh before?

  1. I live just outside Edinburgh but I'm there so often and absolutely love it! Haven't actually been to the christmas markets yet which is a bit gutting but I'll definitely be going soon. It's always great to see how other people who don't live here view Edinburgh.

  4. I went to Edinburgh a couple of months ago just for the day. I really wanted to see the castle which was so much fun. Next time I'm in the UK I'm definitely staying for longer, plus the weather was so bad the day I visited.
