Naked Smoky Palette: Review

Sunday, August 23, 2015

A new addition to the ever so popular Naked Palette's from the artists Urban Decay was released a couple of weeks ago and it was love at first sight. Never owning a Naked Palette myself before I feel it appealed to me more as it seems they have combined some of the best shades from Naked 1, 2 and 3 and put them into one palette. The smoky palette is a mixture of neutral tones running through to the more cooler tones such as blue and greys, 5 of these are shimmery shades, 3 with a slight shine and 4 matte. This new palette is definitely my favourite out of the 4 Naked Palette's as it's a perfect combination of 12 different shades that can be used all year round.

Ever since I was introduced to the blogging world I've seen plenty of people give in to the hype of the Urban Decay Naked palette's and now I own this beautiful piece I now completely understand the craze around these ever so popular palette's. I've seen people who own previous palette's comment on the pigmentation and how pigmented the eye shadow's are and I never 100% believed them, but they are as pigmented as everyone says and that's an absolute god send when you don't want to keep applying coat after coat of eye-shadow.

My favourite combination is using the beige tone of 'Combust' over the lid and then using the coppery gold of 'Dirtysweet' in the outer corner. This is as adventurous as I've been with this palette as I haven't had much time to just sit down and experiment with the different combinations that could be created. Although,  using 'Combust' and 'Dirtysweet' together is a lovely and simple combination perfect for any occasion.

Ever since I started this blog my aim was to find things whether it be make up or clothes that we're affordable for everyone and to prove you don't need to spend a lot of money to achieve the same make up look or the latest fashion trend. And I still stand by this and I want my blog to reflect my aim, but I decided to treat myself and splurge a little on something I knew I would love.

Have you bought the Naked Smoky Palette? What's your thoughts?

  1. I don't own a naked pallete though it's on my list, I think number 3 is the one I've got my eye on. I can't wait to see how you use this pallete x
