What I Really Thought Of Gone Girl

I started this book when it first came out and I was so busy I barely had time to read it so I quickly lost interest. I then started it around the end of August and stuck with it, reading at every opportunity I got and I finally finished it on Friday. It does take a while to get into it but it's worth it. Gillian Flynn has done a brilliant job, creating twists and turns which keep you gripped. While I was reading the book, with every new mystery that was revealed, I was trying to figure out who may have possible done it. And with all the twists and turns and new information released about each character throughout the book, you can't predict the ending.

A brief description about the book is on their fifth wedding anniversary, Nick's wife Amy goes missing. And quite obviously Nick is there first suspect. Throughout the book, the investigation brings up new evidence which implicates Nick even more and throughout all this he continually protests his innocence.

I've heard a lot of bad reviews about this book, particularly the ending but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole book, from beginning to end.  As soon as I finished the book I was like "It can't end like that!" but even through it makes you want a couple more chapters, I think it was a nice way to end the story before the story dragged on too long. I loved the last page particularly in the way it was worded and how it stopped abruptly.

I hope you enjoyed this post as it is my first at writing a book review. So if you could leave your comments on what you thought and I may write more in the future!
